Mark Blankenship, EVP, Chief People, Culture & Corporate Strategy Officer, Jack in the Box
Mark H. Blankenship, Ph.D., is Executive Vice President and Chief People, Culture & Corporate Strategy Officer for Jack in the Box Inc. He is responsible for the company’s Human Resources, Consumer Intelligence & Analytics, Internal Brand Communications and Corporate Strategy functions. Mark also serves on the board of The Jack in the Box Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses the company’s charitable donations to make a difference in communities where employees, franchisees and guests of Jack in the Box restaurants work and live.
Prior to joining Jack in the Box in 1997, Mark was Vice President of Human Resources for Mitchell International, a San Diego-based company that provides information products, software and e-Business solutions to the insurance industry.
Mark has a doctorate and a master’s degree in industrial organizational psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Sacramento.
Carl Daikeler, CEO, Beachbody
Carl Daikeler is co-founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Beachbody, LLC. In his pursuit to maintain his own health and fitness, and find a solution for the growing obesity epidemic, Daikeler and his co-founder Jon Congdon created Beachbody in 1998. Since then, the California-based company has redefined in-home fitness with top fitness and weight-loss solutions such as Beachbody® On Demand, P90X®, 21 Day Fix®, Body Beast®, and INSANITY®, as well as the breakthrough health shake, Shakeology®.
Daikeler’s focus is to help people achieve their goals and lead healthy, fulfilling lives. Through the Team Beachbody® Coach Network, his aspiration is to create the largest community of health and fitness-related peer support in the world.
So, in 2007, Beachbody became the first networking marketing business focused on a holistic approach to fitness and weight loss, turning customers into brand ambassadors. Daikeler has over 25 years of extensive product marketing experience, including every aspect of the direct response business, from creating products to advertising, media buying, operations, international distribution, and general management. He began his entrepreneurial career in fitness product development when he co-founded TelAmerica Media, where he created 8-Minute Abs®.
Anjelica Garcia, Senior Director, Talent Business Partnership, Red Bull
Anjelica Garcia is Senior Director, Talent Business Partners at Red Bull North America (RBNA). She currently leads Talent Management and the Business Partner function, reporting to the SVP of Strategy and Talent.
Anjelica joined RBNA in 2017 after leading Human Resources for TrueCar, a publically traded, digital marketplace that enables car shopping and buying. As part of the operational leadership team, TrueCar grew its employee base by 50% and share appreciated over 180% during her tenure at the company. From 2012 to 2015, Dr. Garcia worked for Sony Pictures Entertainment in a number of senior HR roles and introduced Global Talent Analytics and Talent Management to the organization, completing her tenure as the head of Talent Management, Acquisition and Analytics.
She began her career at the Center for Effective Organizations at the University of Southern California, a leading research institution in the area of organizational effectiveness. There she partnered with a number of organizations in all areas of human capital consulting and managed all learning opportunities including the Human Capital and Effective Organizations certificate program for high potential HR professionals. She previously held a similar role at the Center on Philanthropy and Public Policy, focusing her work on non-profit organizations and began her career in publishing.
Anjelica holds a Doctorate in Education Psychology with an emphasis in adult learning and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern California.
Helene Klein, Chief People Officer, Beachbody
Helene Klein is Chief People Officer for Beachbody, LLC and oversees the Company’s strategic people objectives. Key initiatives include attracting and retaining top-tier talent as well as directing Total Rewards, Organization & Development, and employee engagement for the Company.
Since joining in 2008, Helene has significantly contributed to Beachbody’s overall growth by increasing the number of full-time employees from 150 to over 1,000. During this period, revenues grew to over $1 billion. Additionally, she is responsible for employee experience through Property Management for each of Beachbody’s six offices, including Santa Monica, California, Westlake Village, California, El Segundo, California, Provo, Utah, New York City, New York, and the United Kingdom.
Previously, she served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Administration for EMAK Worldwide, a multinational marketing services company, where she was a key advisor to the Board of Directors, CEO, and Executive Committee. She provided leadership and management to both the human resources and administration functions, while overseeing a $35MM annualized global payroll in five domestic and seven international offices.
Prior, Helene managed all employment matters of a $1.8 billion division of Robinsons-May department stores with over 15,000 employees and beforehand, served as Associate Vice President of Corporate Quality Services at FHP, Healthcare, Inc.
Helene holds a BA in Political Science, summa cum laude, from California State University, Northridge.
Jude Komuves, Chief People Officer, Collective Health
As Collective Health’s Chief People Officer, Jude brings more than 15 years of high-growth technology startup and leadership experience on all things people. Her portfolio includes talent acquisition, human resources, and corporate facilities. Jude’s teams ensure that Collective Health has the talent, resources, and programs in place to grow and succeed.
Prior to joining Collective Health, Jude was the Operations Lead at an early-stage social consumer startup, VP of People at Square, and Head of People & Recruiting Programs at Google.
Jude holds dual Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Anthropology from UCLA. She lives in the Bay Area and on most weekends can be found hiking in the hills with her family, including her darling son Max and two furry pups.

Nihar Shah, Partner, Mercer
Nihar Shah is the leader of the Career Business in Southern California. As a senior consultant, he connects organizational mission and business strategy through the development of people strategy and human capital programs.
He partners with clients on a range of people strategy and program topics, including: total rewards strategy, workforce planning, talent acquisition strategy, employee engagement, benchmarking, compensation design, job architecture, career frameworks, talent management programs and workforce analytics.
Recently he has helped clients address a broad set of key challenges, including: managing demographic shifts in the workforce, elevating the HR function, connecting HR programs and maximizing ROI across the employee value proposition, leveraging cloud-based HR technology and analytics, and creating strategies to address the rise of the gig economy.
While Nihar serves clients across a range of industries and stages of development, he is a specialist in the healthcare industry. He is a member of Mercer’s national healthcare industry vertical and leads healthcare engagements across the U.S.
Nihar started his career as an undergraduate intern with Mercer and has been with our organization for 20 years. He has participated in several leadership development programs within Mercer including an international rotation in Asia. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles. Outside of work, Nihar serves on the Board of the John Tracy Clinic, a Los Angeles based non-profit committed to providing hope, guidance and encouragement for children with hearing loss. And during a sabbatical from Mercer, Nihar worked at the Robin Hood Foundation as a Senior Consultant to aid the non-profit in its mission of eliminating poverty in New York City. He lives in Hermosa Beach, California and has three daughters ages 4, 6 and 8. His wife is the Executive Director of a non-profit that provides dental care to disadvantaged youth.
